SUMMARY: In addition to the threat of flooding, thunderstorms that develop this evening will be capable of damaging winds and a few tornadoes.

DISCUSSION: A line of strong to severe thunderstorms will approach from the north this evening. Conditions will be favorable for the development of severe storms within the line and a few tornadoes – especially if isolated cells form ahead of the main line. Looking at model data, this scenario is possible.

As previously posted, a Flood Watch is also in effect for northern Alabama this afternoon through midnight Wednesday.
