Winter Weather Advisory extended to include all of Central Alabama

The winter weather advisory has been extended to include all of Central Alabama. For southeastern Alabama, snow accumulations up to 1/4 inch are possible. Elsewhere, accumulations of 1/2 inch are expected, with locally higher amounts possible. Some slick spots on roadways have developed across roadways in north and southwestern Alabama. Travel is not recommended this afternoon and into the overnight hours.
