The National Weather Service in Huntsville has issued a * Flash Flood Watch for portions of Alabama and southern middle Tennessee, including the following areas, in Alabama, Colbert, Franklin AL, Lauderdale, Lawrence and Limestone. In southern middle Tennessee, Lincoln and Moore. * Through this evening * Several rounds of moderate to heavy showers and thunderstorms will occur in the vicinity of a frontal boundary that will remain stalled across the watch area today. Although the coverage of this activity may diminish during the afternoon hours, training of showers and thunderstorms will result in locally heavy rainfall rates that could lead to flash flooding. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead to Flash Flooding. Flash Flooding is a very dangerous situation.
