Our Team has closely been monitoring forecasts and outlooks getting our thoughts together on what is shaping up to be a very rough Easter Sunday.

We’ll start the day off rather windy but partly sunny skies state-wide. Thunderstorm activity starts up around 1:00 pm across the western part of the state with severe thunderstorms ongoing across Louisiana and the Lower Mississippi Valley. Thunderstorms during this time could still be on the severe side with damaging wind potential.

It’s not until afterward closer to the evening where we receive the parameters necessary for more significant supercells. There remains uncertainty as to how much instability will be realized after initial thunderstorm activity.

Our Team will be watching the situating closely and bring the latest updates on our Live page. Please stay weather aware and safe.
